Freedom of speech and racial extremism

Apart from the basic definitions used in the paper, the main objective of this bachelor thesis is especially mutual correlation of freedom of speech as the one of basic human rights and race extremism which is undesirable phenomenon in mature society. The first section is devoted to definition of term "freedom of speech" by means of legal regulation included both in Declaration of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms and international agreements. To specify freedom of speech exactly, it is necessary to consider its limitation in a series of documents which are also mentioned in the introductory section. The second section of the thesis is focused on the definition of another significant term often used in the thesis - race extremism. A part of this section is a smaller sub-section containing one of many cases of race attacks. The main reason for choosing this case was personal participation of the author of this thesis in the attack. The main objective of this sub-section is not only presentation of the actual case but application of theoretical knowledge in this concrete case. No other cases were chosen so that the thesis did not receive any unwanted causative contents. 1 Right to education under European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and Czech Republic Abstract: This thesis deals with the issue of protection of the right to education. It focuses on the conception of the right to education defined by the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. It also compares the article concerning the right to education with other international documents concerning human rights protection such as Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and Convention on the Rights of the Child. It partly examines the definition of this right under the Czech law. The thesis especially pays attention to the case of the Grand Chamber D.H. and others versus Czech Republic, since it is the only decision of European Court of justice concerning right to education which found Czech Republic in breach of the Convention. The aim of this thesis was to find out what influence had this decision on the Czech Republic as well as other member states of the Council of Europe and whether It was succesfully implemented into the Czech legal system. The diploma thesis deals with ethical dilemmas, which social worker ordinary experiences during his work at the OSPOD (Service for the Protection of Children's Rights). The aim of the thesis is to present OSPOD, documents which are part of this work and ethical connection with social work. The aim of the research is to identify the most serious ethical dilemmas and the possibilities how to solve them. The qualitative method of research using semistructured interviews is used to realize the aim of the thesis. The research is carried out at the OSPOD in Český Krumlov.

Selected Aspects of the Dilemma of the Basic Human Right according to Declaration of Basic Rights, Paragraph 6

The diploma thesis deals with the selected aspects of the dilemma of the basic human right according to Declaration of Basic Rights, paragraph 6. It focuses mainly on controversial themes such as euthanasia, abortion and death penalty. It provides readers with the definition of the conflict of these three perspectives with breaking the right to life. It shows historical development of the enactment in the Czech Republic and also in the international context. Last but not least, it describes the attitude of selected states (namely Germany, USA and China) to the solution of conflict relations within this area. The attitude of other states is foreshadowed in terms of euthanasia and abortion.
Ethical view on abortion and its legalization

The thesis deals with the question of abortion. It briefly introduces the history of abortion and definition of basic terms. Further, it describes basic procedures for the implementation of abortion, pontential health problems, and mentions the Hippocratic Oath, too. More attention is then paid to the abortion legislation in the Czech Republic, including the current legislative texts, criminal responsibility, but also facts associated with the restrictions on abortion law. The thesis brings information, which characterizes ethics as a scientific discipline and its view on abortion. Finally, there are also mentioned basic differences between adoption and foster care, as well as other ways how to solve unwanted pregnancies.
